If you are visiting Rome in the future, booking Massimo's Review of: Renaissance Scarlet Ladies Tour: Caravaggio's and Borgia's Women should be on your "must do" list! It's a different tour in that it's storytelling at it's best. Massimo shared the stories behind the women in the iconic paintings of Caravaggio and during the time the Borgias were in charge of the church and the government. You won't be disappointed if you take this tour! I took the tour with four other friends and we were all enthralled.

Highly entertaining and informative
A great tour. We were in Rome 9 days and took a dozen tours and this was our favorite (along with Massimo's other tour). Massimo did a lot of homework and is a great storyteller. The tour was highly informative and entertaining. It may sonud a little seedy (and it is) but it was handled tactfully such that my very conservative wife loved the tour. You will not regret taking this tour.

Renaissance at its best
This was a wonderful delve into the "steamier" side of the renaissance Rome. Seven women were highlighted along with some of their homes. Massimo is a wonderfully sassy, knowledgeable and talented storyteller. I don't know when I have enjoyed and laughed so much.

The truth about Julius Caesar.
Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. He was funny and personable. The tour was amazing in the total scope of breadth and depth of the people, monuments and ruins that it covered. This was my second tour with Massimo and I will definitely book with him if I ever get back to Rome.

Rome storytelling at its Finest!
We really enjoyed our Rome walking tour with Massimo. We not only learned about the history of the city and famous sites but also about the important contribution the fashion houses made toward restoration of the monuments we saw. Massimo is a great story teller! We enjoyed it so much we were sorry when our tour ended. I would highly recommend Massimo!

Night Walking with Roman Emperors
This is a fun night tour learning about Julius Caesar & a few other affluent Roman Emperors. Massimo takes you to important sites connected to some of the most powerful men of Rome. Massimo's expansive knowledge on these men is mind blowing. The best part of the tour is not only are you learning about these men, but you have a good time doing it. Massimo has a way of telling their stories that is not only educational, but entertaining as well. You'll laugh, you'll gasp in disbelief. It is such a well rounded tour.

Rome's Lesser Told Stories
This was such an amazing tour. Be sure to wear your good walking shoes because Massimo takes you to many sites. Massimo has a wealth of knowledge with the stories of the women you will learn about. The twists & turns of the stories & the range of emotions you feel for these women is all worth it. You end up getting very invested in these women & wonder how many more were like them. Massimo is not only a phenomenal story teller, he is giving a voice to women that normally are not heard. This is a side of Rome that they don't teach you in schools. I highly recommend this tour.

Such a wonderful guide
Massimo absolutely loves what he does and it shows. He crafted a special itinerary for us and did everything possible to make sure it was the best. My children were engaged and we loved learning from him. Thank you, Massimo! You are so kind and we look forward to seeing you again when we return.

An absolutely wonderful and enjoyable tour of Rome with Massimo.
We recently had the pleasure of experiencing Rome with a superb tour guide Massimo . Massimo ia not only extremely knowledgeable about history, art, religion and archeology, he is engaging, energetic and great fun. Truly one of the best tours of my life . We were only disappointed that our stay was short and that we did not have the opportunities to go on more tours with Massimo.

Anna is the best!
Our guide Anna was so lovely. Not only was she knowledgeable, she was always smiling, always kind, and always patient. Her friendly smile was such a pleasure during our tours.Personally, I was extremely satisfied with engaging “Storytelling Rome Tours & Walks” because we wasted no time in exploring the city. It was the most efficient use of time as we only had 2 days in Rome. All the entry tickets were organised and historical details were explained. It is manic in Rome - every tourist destination is packed. Therefore, it was great to just be able to follow someone and not waste our precious time. We were a group of 8 so we were able to organise a Private Tour. I thought that the pricing was fair and reasonable, especially after meeting Anna, who enjoyed and cared about her job.
